Controller and How to Reach It
The controller of the personal data processed here is whoever runs this website, namely the operator of chance-bonus.cz. The email address contact@chance-bonus.cz receives both questions about data processing and requests by which you exercise your rights as a data subject.
Personal Data in Website Operation
Running, securing and analysing chance-bonus.cz requires the processing of certain technical data. These include the IP address, time of access, device type, the browser and operating system used, and the addresses (URLs) of the pages visited. The website also works with cookies; which ones and why is explained in the Cookies chapter. If you send us a question at contact@chance-bonus.cz, we additionally process what the message contains, in particular your email address, its text and your signature if you give one. Nothing beyond what is strictly necessary is processed: no data on gambling, identity checks or payments, and no data of Chance players.
Legal Framework and Purposes of Processing
The processing of personal data is governed by the following legislation:
- the General Data Protection Regulation, Regulation (EU) 2016/679 (GDPR);
- Act No. 110/2019 Coll., the Czech law on processing personal data;
- Act No. 127/2005 Coll., on electronic communications, specifically its § 89, which covers, among other things, cookies.
Security and operation of the website rely on the controller's legitimate interest under Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR; the related data are kept for 12 months at most, or as technical capabilities allow.
Analytical and marketing cookies require consent under Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR. They are kept while consent lasts, or according to browser settings.
Correspondence is processed for the performance of a contract or on the basis of legitimate interest (Art. 6(1)(b) or (f) GDPR), for the time needed to deal with it and no longer than 6 months.
Who May Receive Your Data
For the purposes of running the website and providing analytics, personal data may be made available to two categories of recipients:
- web analytics providers, which process traffic statistics so that the functioning of the website can be improved;
- hosting and CDN providers, which keep the website running, available and protected.
We do not name specific providers unless they are publicly identifiable on the website itself. Data are not passed to unverified entities or to other third parties without a legal basis.
Can Data Leave the EU?
Can personal data end up outside the EU? Yes, if the analytics tool we use comes from a provider not established in the European Union or the European Economic Area. In that case the transfer takes place on the basis of standard contractual clauses (Art. 46 GDPR), which provide adequate protection for the data. Where no service outside the EU/EEA is used, there is no transfer to third countries.
Your Rights
As a data subject, the GDPR and Act No. 110/2019 Coll. give you the right to:
- obtain access to the personal data we process about you (Art. 15 GDPR);
- have inaccurate data rectified (Art. 16 GDPR);
- request erasure, also known as the “right to be forgotten”, where the conditions of Art. 17 GDPR are met;
- ask for restriction of processing (Art. 18 GDPR);
- receive your data and transfer them elsewhere (Art. 20 GDPR), where processing is automated and based on consent or a contract;
- object to processing that relies on legitimate interest (Art. 21 GDPR);
- withdraw consent where consent is the legal basis. Processing carried out before the withdrawal remains lawful.
Exercising Your Rights
You can exercise any of the rights listed above by sending an email to contact@chance-bonus.cz. We will reply without undue delay and no later than 30 days after your request arrives. If the request is complex, or a larger number of requests is received, the period may be extended by a further two months, and you will be told about the extension.
Complaint to the Office for Personal Data Protection
The Office for Personal Data Protection (Úřad pro ochranu osobních údajů) at Pplk. Sochora 27, 170 00 Praha 7 is where you can file a complaint if you feel that the processing of your personal data is contrary to the law. The Office is the supervisory authority in this field; details are on its website, uoou.cz.
Securing Access and Transmission
We protect personal data on two levels. During transmission between the user's device and the server, they are secured by the HTTPS/TLS protocol. While stored, they are shielded from unauthorised access by technical and organisational measures based on the current state of the art. The controller regularly evaluates both and takes steps to keep the risk of unauthorised access and data misuse to a minimum.
How We Handle Cookies and Consent
A cookie is a small text file that a website stores on a visitor's device. Thanks to cookies, the website can function properly and its traffic can be evaluated; some cookies are also used to personalise content or ads.
Your choice matters for two groups. Analytical cookies gather anonymised statistics on how the website is used, and marketing cookies enable personalised advertising and the tracking of users on different websites. Both groups are stored only on the basis of your consent, which is why Google Analytics runs in Consent Mode: until you accept, analytics storage has the status “denied”. Without consent, only essential cookies, which provide the basic functions of the website and without which it might not work properly, may be used; § 89(3) of Act No. 127/2005 Coll. allows this.
The website remembers your answer in the ck-consent record. It is not saved as a cookie but in the browser's local storage, and how long it lasts there is determined by your browser settings.

Updates to This Policy
If the legislation or the way we process data changes, we may amend this privacy and cookies policy. The controller will announce significant changes on the website. We therefore recommend checking the current version from time to time.
